Step 1: Identify your ideal clients!  Filling your prospect pool with people who aren’t your ideal client is like making a cake without the right ingredients.  Quality clients – the ones perfect for your business make it easier for them to sing your praises.  Meaning – Referrals!

Here’s a tip: If you find yourself saying anyone and everyone can be your client, you’re actually attracting no one! Why? Because you’re not being specific enough and in fact you’re being too vague and general so no one comes to mind when you say “anyone and everyone” can use my product or service. And if no one comes to the mind of your listener your marketing message needs help.

Your message needs to speak to your future clients who are ready, willing and committed to getting the results that are possible for them. As a result they become your raving fans and best advertisers.

In MODULE ONE you will follow step-by-step instructions as you fill out the Ideal Client Profile Template.  This will help you find your WHO. Who you want to fill your business with and who others can send your way. The last thing you want is to spend time and money marketing to the WRONG person.

Step 2: What is your brand? Defining your personal brand and knowing how to showcase it will help people understand who you are and why they should choose you.

In this highly connected world people are still looking to buy from someone they know, like and trust. You need to connect with them on an emotional level. By opening up and letting them get to know you they buy into your story, your purpose and your vision.

Learn to stand out from the sea of networking conversations by creating your own identity.

In MODULE TWO we’ll use my 5 part Unique Personal Brand Formula to create your unique brand that will help set you apart from others in your industry (don’t be vanilla, be amaretto cream).

The mistake people make when they try to set themselves apart is to talk about how and why they’re better than their competition. But that can have a negative impact on you and it can backfire.

It’s a lot easier to share how you are DIFFERENT than to prove how you are BETTER and knowing your unique personal brand will make talking about yourself a lot easier and more captivating.

Step 3: What do you do? Give your listener the right information. Hint: this is not your title, label or industry.  With this makeover you will learn how to “pass the face test”.

In this course, there are 3 ways you learn to pass the face test:

  1. When you share what you do and the person you’re talking to says “that’s me, you’re describing me to a T, and how do I get that?” and that’s how you can get a client on the spot.
  2. When you share what you do and the person you’re talking to says, “I know someone who really needs you, how can I connect the two of you? And that’s how you get a lead.
  3. When you’re not even present in a conversation, picture this: other people are talking about a problem they’re facing or a solution they’re seeking and one of them says “ I know someone who can help you with that! Would you like me to put you to in contact?” and the other person says “Yes! I’d love that.” And that’s how you get a referral.

In MODULE THREE you’ll nail your “what I do” statement so that what you say is so effective that the people around you start to visualize someone they know that could use your product or service.

You’ll learn the structure that helps you create over a dozen “what I do” statements so that you don’t get tired of hearing yourself say the same thing over and over PLUS when you consistently pass the face test you’ll be on your way to more clients, leads and referrals.

Step 4: Increase your networking ROI! Your TIME is your most valuable asset – it’s time to start protecting it.  If you are spending time away from your family, your business or your ‘me’ time, make it worth it.

In order to make it worth it, you need to know the purpose for your networking so you can make good decisions on where to go, why you’re there, and who to connect with. You need a plan and a strategy so you’re not spending time, money and energy on networking that’s not paying off.

The big mistake in this area is that many people just show up at a networking event or join an organization but fail to create a strategy to get the results they want, and then blame the event or the organization for not being a good one.

The truth is that most people have high expectations but are not doing their part in getting the results they had hoped for. No strategy + no plan + no intention + no clear purpose = lackluster results.

In MODULE FOUR you’ll use the Networking Action Plan template to create quick and simple strategies that will take less than an hour a week to plan. The 20% of your time that you put into your networking strategies can produce 80% of your results. It’s time to leverage your time and use your most valuable asset wisely and profitably.

Step 5: Follow up and follow through! You’ve made the connections – now turn them into revenue.

At this point in the course you’ll know who your ideal clients are and how you’re going to talk to them. You’ll know who to connect with that will send you referrals and you’ll know where you should be networking and you’ll have the confidence to connect. So now you need to create a system and structure for following up with the people you’ve met and have a clear call to action that will help take your conversation to the next step.

A common mistake people make is not having a system for following up. They just try to get to it when they can and in the process they end up with the old “business card pile up” with no connections or prospects to show for it.

In MODULE FIVE you’ll create a simple follow up system and a clear structure that supports your networking success. You’ll learn to create a clear call to action with each step that you want your connection to take and this will help move the relationship forward. This is when referral partnerships can be made, affiliate partnerships created and resources can be found.
